How can we say that?  On the shelves of Nature's Flame are plenty of Beeswax Candles crafted with Pure Beeswax. Purchased is only 100% Pure Beeswax from local apiaries, rather than buying the less expensive imported beeswax. To supplement the local supply I also purchase elsewhere within the United States, yet only when guaranteed from Bee Keepers rather than imported where it is most often to be mixed with paraffin waxes.

To feel, smell & work with the Beeswax this is noticeable and a shame that mixing is allowed with imported Beeswax. That simply will not do! Hard work, devotion & perseverance is necessary for a Honey Bee to deliver quality Honey, BeesWax & Pollen to our tables. This is a gift cherished within Nature's Flame, I am proud to offer these Pure, Golden Beeswax treats as a Celebration of the loyalty carried through the Honey Bee to the Bee Keeper thus to us. We do not want to risk the quality of Beeswax offered and we are honored to support Bee Keepers for their disciplined work carried on throughout the Seasons.

Tucked out of sight & sun you will find our stash of Essential Oils & Fragrances. Nature's Flame Candles was born with the use of 24 Essential Oils, and only these were offered in 10 various blends for nearly 10 years. Now after requests and the need to expand for survival, I have grown a bit and offer a select few fragrances as well. The difference is mentioned in the shoppe since I believe Aromatherapy benefits are not offered with fragrances, regardless of what million dollar ad campaigns may say (ahem). They shall stimulate memory and may please the nose of some, yet they are still synthetically crafted fragrances and do not offer natural healing properties presented through Essential Oils. We have researched and tossed many fragrances due to poor quality that seems to flood the market place these days. Now I am proud to offer these items as well.

Before I go...You may have noticed these past few years the addition of Soy Wax blends on our shelves. Found are Wax Melts (aka tarts), Container Candles & Votives. Soy wax was introduced to the market in the 90's. A truly wonderful idea since it utilizes soy beans and is another option for our Farmers to entertain. Soy seems to be popping up everywhere in just about everything and Candles is no exception. After waiting for some differences with the approach to creating soy wax I have now settled on a supplier that seems to meet our needs. Beeswax burns clean - non-toxic and non-allergenic. Nature's Flame Candles contain no paraffin, benzene, lead, stearic acid, or any other chemicals. Simply 100% pure, New England beeswax, natural essential oils or fragrances, flowers & the imagination.

Comparing prices of Beeswax & Paraffin? Consider this - Beeswax has a considerably higher melting point than paraffin. Because it takes longer to melt, it therefore burns much slower. This is how such incredible burn times for beeswax candles may be claimed. As a result, beeswax burns very efficiently and thus costs pennies an hour to burn, making it nice to the wallet as well as your home, spirit and beekeeper.

Have you heard about this? I am no scientist, however it has been said that Beeswax is the only fuel known to science that releases a negative ion as it burns. Negative ions are proven to eliminate dust, pollen, mould, smoke, food odor and pet dander, as well as airborne germs and bacteria. These ions are nature's way of cleaning up man's pollution. They are a fundamental aspect of our planet's survival and are found in high concentrations in several ecological areas like mountain regions, seashores, waterfalls, and oceans. Electrical storms and rainfall also release a tremendous amount of negative ions. They help alleviate asthma and allergies and invigorate the most basic cells of the human body. Beeswax also promotes healthier and less fitful sleep and dream patterns. Unlike paraffin's 'burn off', beeswax reacts more like water and evaporates by the heat of the flame. This is one of the reasons why beeswax doesn't smoke. This is also why we recommend that you maintain the wick at 1/4 inch (the higher the flame, the hotter the flame, the faster the evaporation).
